One who visits Lebanon is fascinated by the 7 000 years old little country. The weather is always moderate and all people are very friendly and very well known for their hospitality.

Although mountain towns near the capital have been urbanized, elsewhere a certain measure of traditional village life remains.

In winter there is plenty of activity on the slopes of the country’s six ski resorts.
The village of Faraya for example is synonymous with skiing in Lebanon, although the actual slopes are located in nearby Ouyoun El Siman. Today, Faraya in considered one of the best equipped ski resorts.

Blessed with mountains that rise steeply from the sea, Lebanon is known for its breathtaking views. But none is more spectacular than the panorama seen from the mountains with glistening Mediterranean over 2000 meters below.

Though the scars from years of war remain, life has returned to Lebanon. The former “Pearl of the Middle East” is once again an exquisite experience: a bewildering composition of cultures and faiths perched on a breathtaking sweep of Mediterranean coastline.

Although BEIRUT’s center and very essence has suffered from brutal attack, the city has never ceased to live. Now that peace has been restored, this zest for life is all more fervent.
